D.U.E. Investigates U.F.O. National Park

Agency investigators returned to Uma Francine Oldman National Park recently after new unexplained activity in the area caused the cancellation of the 50th UFO Festival. The last time the Department of Unexplained Encounters investigated the park was in 1968 after a young boy's unexplained encounter with what he described as an extraterrestrial.

Since the park's establishment in 1888, there have always been reports of strange phenomena coming from around the area. It came as no surprise to the Department's agents that new sightings and reports were cropping up. When agents arrived, they walked along the main trail to the entrance of Bane Cave where they conducted extensive sweeps for anything out of the ordinary. The agents went deeper into the cave all the way to where Ken Arnold had his encounter back in 1968. 

What agents found was intriguing: black crystals had formed all along the cave wall. Scans of the crystals were inconclusive and did not match any known type seen before. Could this be a new discovery? Possibly. A sample was taken back to the Department's lab where a full analysis of the crystals will be completed. Do not expect the results to be made public.

Furthermore, any reports of a large creature roaming in the park are merely due to a cougar looking for food. The animal has been contained. If you hear any rumors floating around the national news of some otherworldly creature, don't believe one word of it. It was a cougar. Nothing more.
