Space Informer was able to sit down with WorldTek CEO Joseph Graves briefly at Space Summit 2026 after his groundbreaking speech at the Future of Space Exploration panel.

Space Informer

What made you want to explore space?

Joseph Graves

When I was a little boy, I was obsessed with NASA and the space shuttle program. I knew that one day I wanted to go into space aboard my own spaceship which was a promise I made to myself as I watched the space shuttle Enterprise launch on a mission in 1988. Fourteen years later, I founded WorldTek to fulfill that promise.

Space Informer

Your outline for the future of space exploration was inspiring. What can you specifically tell us about WorldTek’s goals after a moon base has been established?

Joseph Graves

I don’t ever beat around the bush about what’s next for WorldTek: we’re going to Mars after 2029. We’re currently in the design stages of a spacecraft that will take us there-- it’s called Starstreak-- and it’s going to revolutionize space travel. Our first engine tests will be later this year and if all goes to plan, we’ll see test launches by 2030.

Space Informer

The United States is facing a recession worse than the one of 2008. Do you have any concerns that the economy will impact your plans for space travel?

Joseph Graves

None. None whatsoever. WorldTek has fantastic investors and international partners that will ensure that we’re able to turn a profit to continue improving all of humanity.

Space Informer

Your family recently welcomed a new addition. How’s life changed now that you’re a dad?

Joseph Graves

I never used to be able to see myself as a father because I always kept myself busy with my business ventures but now, I can’t see myself as anything but a father. Marlin is everything to Marleen and I. He’s the center of our universe. One day, I’ll take him to Mars with me. We’ll be the first humans on Mars-- you’ll see!
