Colin Seymour Wallace

His life cut much too short, Colin Seymour Wallace co-founded the Society of Adventurers in 1904. In 1905, on an expedition to Antarctica, Wallace planned to wed his fiancée, Florence Abigail Norton. Tragically, Wallace lost his life onboard the society's private ship, the Adventurer, due to unknown circumstances. Wallace's friend and society co-founder, Sir Simon Higgins, attempted to resuscitate Wallace but was too late.

The society's highest honor, the Colin Seymour Wallace Award, is awarded to one member every year who has gone above and beyond the call of the society's creed "to push the limits."
